Military Maintenance of Circle City was started by Retired Army Major Douglas Chace. Doug enlisted in the Army as a helicopter mechanic and served for three years before going to flight school to fly the helicopters he'd been maintaining. He went on to fly in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Jordan, as well as all over the United States.
During his career, he learned the importance of maintaining buildings, equipment, and relationships at an exceptionally high level and with tremendous attention to detail. While in Afghanistan for his fourth and final tour, Doug was injured and returned home for surgery, recovery, and medical retirement before settling in Wanamaker to start his new life.
